stretches the spine and decompresses the discs. Traction Treatment is
able to reduce the pressure in the lumbar spine, relieving the pressure
on pinched nerves. In short, traction breaks the cycle of pain caused
by bulging and degenerated discs and helps the body heal itself.
What is involved in completing the Traction Program?
A patient is required to come 25 consecutive days over a 5 week period.
During these 25 days, the patient will be monitored by the Traction technician
and their progress reviewed daily by the doctor. Each day the patient
participates in a 45 minute Cervical or Lumbar Traction treatment and
then receives some modalities. ie. ultrasound, electrical stimulation,
cryo and / or a light massage over treatment area.
