Conditions That Can Benefit from Chiropractic Care

Chiropractors are well-known for providing rapid, drug-free back pain relief. But did you know what Benefit from Chiropractic Care to the whole body? Chiropractors are specialists in the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, and they can treat any joint in the body from the feet up to the neck. If you’re interested in a systemic approach to wellness, consider visiting a chiropractor today.

Whiplash

Whiplash is a common car crash injury. It affects the soft tissues of the neck and it generally includes symptoms such as neck pain, stiffness, reduced range of motion, and headaches. Some patients may also experience dizziness, ringing in the ears, and impaired concentration. Unlike most injuries, the symptoms of whiplash are not typically evident right after the accident. Instead, the onset of symptoms tends to occur within a day or two. To support an optimum outcome, it’s advisable for car crash survivors to visit a chiropractor promptly—if possible, even before symptoms develop. Early chiropractic care can accelerate recovery and reduce the risk of chronic pain.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

The carpal tunnel is the narrow, bony passageway that houses the median nerve. The median nerve is responsible for providing sensation to the thumb side of the hand. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common orthopedic problem in which the carpal tunnel is narrower than usual. The insufficient space can compress and inflame the median nerve, causing wrist and hand pain, numbness, and tingling that usually becomes progressively worse. Since nerve damage can be quite debilitating and may eventually lead to the loss of grip strength, individuals with carpal tunnel syndrome are encouraged to see a chiropractor promptly for treatment.

Frozen Shoulder

Adhesive capsulitis, also known as frozen shoulder, affects the connective tissue that surrounds the shoulder joint. This tissue is known as the shoulder capsule. Frozen shoulder is characterized by the formation of adhesions, tightening and thickening of the shoulder capsule, and reduced lubrication of the joint. Frozen shoulder progresses in stages and typically involves pain and loss of movement. Working with a chiropractor to break up the adhesions and restore function will support a patient’s recovery.
