Hand, Leg and Foot Pain Treatment in The Woodlands and Houston

As human beings, we often are struck with pain in various parts of our bodies. Although it’s only natural for this to happen, that doesn’t mean we have to live with it for the rest of our lives. Here at Houston Spine & Rehabilitation Center, our doctors have more than 50 years of combined experience, which means they have the knowledge it takes to track down the root of your pain and eliminate it. Below are some of the conditions we treat at our clinic of Leg and Foot Pain Treatment.

Leg pain treatment

Our legs support us all day, whether it’s walking or just standing around. Because of this, leg pain is one of the most commonly seen problems here at our clinic. Because there are so many potential causes for your leg pain, we recommend that you make an appointment as soon as possible so we can get you pain relief quickly. In the meantime, you can use over-the-counter anti-inflammatories to help with minor pain.

Iliotibial band syndrome

Iliotibial band syndrome is also known as ITBS or IT band syndrome. This injury occurs when you overuse the tissues on your outer thigh and knee. Understandably, many bikers and runners experience IT band syndrome, especially if they exercise frequently. If you are a biker or runner and suspect that you may have IT band syndrome, come see us at your earliest convenience. If left untreated, the bursa in your knee can undergo continual scarring, which can decrease your range of motion and increase your pain.

Neuropathy treatment

Neuropathy is nerve pain and types include autonomic, proximal, and focal, which usually are caused by diabetes. Because a symptom of neuropathy is numbness, you may not even know you have a problem until you have trouble walking. If you suspect you have neuropathy, particularly if you are a diabetes patient, come to have a consultation with our doctors so we can provide you with either immediate or long-term medical attention.

Plantar fascia pain and relief

If you have pain in the bottom of your heel, you may have plantar fasciitis. As a result of regular wear and tear, it is extremely common for the plantar fascia ligament to break down and cause pain. It’s not surprising that plantar fasciitis is one of the most common orthopedic complaints. Overweight or obese people are more likely to develop plantar fasciitis because of the increased pressure put on the ligaments.

Sciatica treatment

Sciatic pain happens when a nerve is pinched. The sciatic nerve is the largest single nerve in your body, which is why symptoms felt from any pinching in the nerve can occur all the way down your back and even into your leg. Once you have completed our treatment plan for Leg and Foot Pain Treatment and your symptoms have been resolved, we recommend regular chiropractic treatment for the future.
