Land Therapy

As the name suggests, land therapy is a type of physical therapy that involves therapeutic activity on land to promote healing and athletic performance. (This in contract with water therapy, or “aqua therapy,” which is performed in water for less impact and resistance.)

Whether you are returning from an injury or are simply trying to increase your fitness and overall health, physical therapy is a great way to help your body work the way it’s supposed to. For those who are able to handle moderate resistance and impact, there is no better or broader therapeutic route than land therapy. Here at The Houston Spine and Rehabilitation Center, our physical therapy specialists proudly offer a wide range of land therapy programs specially-tailored to meet the unique needs of each of our patients. Using our extensive experience and state-of-the-art facilities, we help you restore your body and come back fitter than ever.

Land-Based Physical Therapy

As mentioned above, land therapy has a number of benefits in helping patients increase strength, endurance, flexibility, cardiovascular performance, and much more. For those who are able to handle the impact and resistance that come with most land-based physical therapy exercises and stretches, this type of therapy is more effective than its water-based cousin. Put simply, if you can handle land therapy, you should be doing it.
